| Description: | A very dark painting except for the sky, which is bright with an orange patch near the horizon.  Three birch tree trunks stand on the left, a house (or tent) and standing pole or snag on the right.  Two white gulls or terns with black-tipped wings fly across a brownish foreground.  Very loosely brushed.  (From the painting, 3 July 1992.) |
