Original: Published Sunday, 12 December 1886, in the Los Angeles Herald XXVI, 61, page 5, column 3.
Adjustments: Image digitally contrast-enhanced and sharpened. Image contains ICC color profile.
Note: The same advertisement was repeated on 14 December and 15 December. The Los Angeles Herald also carried parallel news notices on each of those days that appear to be based on a press release used several times in the winter and spring of 1886 and 1887. And, on December 15, there was also a reminder notice.
