| Description: | On the near (left) shore, there is a small encampment with several tepees, campfire, canoe, and figures. It is unclear if the figures depicted are Indians, trappers, or both. On the far (right) shore, smoke from a distant campfire rises. In the middle of the lake (distant), a small vessel with sail can be noted. Four or so birds fly about the lake, several swooping toward shore. (Owner's description) |
| Note: | The painting closely resembles Evening on Silver Lake, California (attributed). In the absence of a title from the artist, it is anyone's guess what lake is depicted. |
