Site: | The Three Sisters mountains, Oregon, viewed across a river. |
Description: | The mountains are snow-capped; the river runs from the middle distance to left foreground. On the near bank is a path leading to the right between two white boulders into a dark green conifer forest. There is a tent in the distance on the far side of the river, with a campfire, smoke, and a dugout canoe on the river bank. The sky is a deep turquoise; the lower slopes of the mountain are a coral hue. The setting sun bathes a slope high on the right and a ridge on the left with a warm, reddish hue.
