A painting with the same title followed by "near Lake Tahoe" was offered as lot 129 on page 8 of the catalog of a 17 November 1885 auction in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the information in the two catalogs is not sufficient to either include or exclude the possibility that one of them is this painting. |
