Description: | A view through a stand of tall flowers, over a slough, and then across a green field on which stand four cows (?) against brown shrubbery in the distance; a grey hill rises to the right to form a backdrop. A bushy tree fills the right edge and divides a grey skey at the top from a bluer but still cloudy sky below. (From a color photograph.) |
Note: | The 20 January 2008 sale catalog and the 20 April 2008 sale catalog both report "titled and inscribed 'California' on the reverse". This report may indicate that the verso inscription is actually "Spring on Alameda Point, California". |
