| Description: | A stream with bright edges enters the scene at the bottom right and flows toward the center of the painting into a flat valley. Across the light green valley floor on the right is a low greyish range of hills in the haze under a cloudy blue sky. Dark green broadleaf trees stand at left edge, and in the distance is an olive green tree. Cows stand on the brush-filled right bank. The left lower foreground is filled with green grass disrupted by grey marks, perhaps from erosion. (From a color photograph.) |
