Description: | From a viewpoint looking over the edge of a bright white cliff, we see a waterfall tumbling over a grey cliff in the middle distance in two drops to a dark, forested valley below on the right. Behind the waterfall, a purple-grey mountain slopes up to the left against a sky that is largely filled with white clouds. Nearer, a high, pink cliff on the left is partly concealed by a stand of tall, dark green conifers. The bright foreground clearing is quite cluttered, with yellowish grass, small dark green bushes, and the trunk of a dead tree lying across the bottom left corner. The brightness of the white rock formation at the top and edge of the cliff is quite striking. (From a color photograph.) |
