The tepees are surrounded with grass on a rise in the desert, with a lower valley floor to the left and the grey outline of a mountain in the distance on the left. The valley floor is multicolored, being mostly yellow but with a streak of white and another streak of dark brown. The sky is filled with white clouds. (From a color photograph.)
