| Description: | A very light and airy painting in what is apparently intended to be an impressionist style, with minimal finish. A dirt road crosses flat terrain to lead to a simple house standing in the center, with a few tall broadleaf (cottonwood?) trees on each side and several more trees to the right. Near the house are several dashes of orange-red, apparently flowers or red-leaved bushes. The sky is roiled; a yellow glow near the horizon suggesst sunrise or sunset. (From the painting, 22 July 1998.) |
